Kathryn views por­trai­ture as the art of char­ac­ter expres­sion, a true reflec­tion of nat­ural charisma. She aims to cap­ture the many sides of her subject’s per­son­al­ity — either in her Van­cou­ver stu­dio or on loca­tion. Shoot­ing her sub­jects in a friendly, relaxed man­ner, Kathryn’s focus is on the com­fort and enjoy­ment of those she pho­tographs. Years of work­ing with and pho­tograph­ing peo­ple and a keen and art­ful eye has honed her abil­ity to cre­ate beau­ti­fully unique, artis­tic portraits.

An avid lover of pho­tog­ra­phy for sev­eral years,Kathryn Langs­ford ini­tially pur­sued a career in social work; the com­bi­na­tion of these two pas­sions lead to her pho­to­graphic spe­cialty being chil­dren. Her reper­toire has since expanded to include preg­nancy , adults and cor­po­rate pho­tog­ra­phy. A self-taught artist and entre­pre­neur, she has quickly become suc­cess­ful and devel­oped a broad, loyal client base in var­i­ous cities across Canada and the United States.
